Brisbane Hotels & MotelsAustralia's third-largest city feels no need to toot its own horn. While other capitals scramble to reach top billing in the status stakes, Brisbane quietly executes its evolution in true, casual Queensland style. It feels no need to advertise its virtues - locals know how it is. It is a big-city package but the pretensions are refreshingly absent. The city centre sits within a tropical landscape while cooling its toes in the undulating Brisbane River, and it boasts a climate that lures pale and chilly southerners by the truckload. |

Brisbane is Australia's third largest city and as you'd expect, accommodation comes in all shapes and sizes. Whether you're after budget backpackers hostels, business hotels, resorts, bed and breakfasts, motels, or family apartments you'll find it in Brisbane. Most of the hotels are in the CBD area and rates are reasonable compared with most developed countries in the world. The Brisbane CBD isn't huge, so if you're in town on business pretty much all the main corporate hotels are within a short cab ride from the main office buildings. If you're in Brisbane for pleasure you might as well stay near your vice, if it's shopping you're after, stay somewhere near the Queen Street Mall, if you're there for the nightlife then Fortitude Valley is where it's at, and there are plenty of hotels and apartments within walking distance of the Gabba and Suncorp stadium if you're there for sporting or concert reasons. As a city, the open, undulating expanse of the cityscape is truly something to marvel at. |
